Pay range: up to $26/hour, plus $0.50 shift differential

Job Summary

Position consists of monitoring Quality, Safety, Service, and Cost metrics of the work cell, ensuring that quality standards are met, Standard Work is followed, employee morale is strong, safety standards are adhered to, materials are available, and daily customer demands are achieved. Additionally, as a key team member, the Lead will have responsibility for leading product lines to successfully meet and exceed throughput goals and efficiency targets. Leads will support continuous improvement activities and lead basic problem-solving activities with Operators, Supervisors, Engineers, and Technicians. As needed, the Lead will perform a variety of repetitive and semi-repetitive, meticulous assembly operations where methods and sequence of assembly are provided from Manufacturing Processes and Standard Operating Procedures.

Essential Job Duties and Responsibilities

Successfully and consistently attained the knowledge, skills, and abilities associated with the Lead job description.
Observe, maintain, and improve work cell standardized work and standardized WIP.
Train and Coach operators to meet process requirements and standardized work.
Demonstrate advanced organizational skills, able to communicate and drive towards output goals and organize builds in a manner to achieve goals and ensure adequate materials and personnel are available to meet expectations.
Demonstrate professional communication skills through both verbal and written means. Provide clear direction to operators working on production line and communicate line output and challenges to technical team and Supervisor.
Facilitate communication between operators and technical team to ensure issues impacting yield and efficiency are addressed promptly.
Maintain responsibility for ensuring safety and environmental practices are followed in their assigned areas of responsibility – e.g. enforce GMP and GDP.
Education and Experience

High School Diploma or GED from an accredited institution
Minimum 5 years' experience in a medical device environment
Previous Lead role in a medical device environment (i.e. Catheter, Implantable), preferred
Previous LEAN experience, preferred
Skills and Abilities

Ability to demonstrate a record of excellent performance in meeting high standards of quality, quantity and dependability (attendance and punctuality).
Ability to work well with others and ability to work well on teams
Dexterity and Attention Detail
Ability to sit frequently, stand, walk, and bend
