Onsite Avaya Service Engineer Tier II

Continuant is a global voice, telephony, and collaboration tools managed service provider (MSP) specializing in maintenance and migration, Microsoft Teams Calling and Meeting Rooms (via our Connect solutions), and Audio Video systems.

We are seeking an Avaya T2 engineer to fulfill a 12-month contract supporting a large, multi-location Charleston, WV based healthcare provider. As an Avaya engineer you should have experience supporting a broad scope of Avaya voice technology and enjoy troubleshooting and resolving system issues. You will also be involved in assisting in the discovery and planning stages of a Cisco migration. You should also be able to travel between multiple locations when necessary. You will also have remote access to Continuants T3 Avaya engineers for support as needed. This position

What You’ll be Doing:
- Provide On-site Tier/Level 2 support by troubleshooting, diagnosing, and resolving incidents related to Avaya Communication Systems.
- Perform Avaya discovery to assist with planned Cisco migration
- Provide telecom engineering support, advice and consultation wherever needed.
- Coordinate with existing technicians and Continuant engineers to troubleshoot and resolve problems that arise
- Utilize designated customer ticketing system
- Carry out a full range of technician functions and provide additional coverage as needed
- Travel between locations as needed

You'll Be Successful With:
- 5+ years of directly related professional experience with high-level technical abilities in most of the following primary products and technologies preferably in enterprise environments (in addition to qualifications listed below):

Skills & Abilities:
- Ability to maintain current industry standard certification as required
- Professional level understanding of network architectures, technologies, and common voice protocols
- Exceptional verbal and written communication
- Passionate dedication to the Customer Experience
- Ability to describe, communicate, and document troubleshooting steps performed, including Incident Response and Root Cause Analysis
- Microsoft Office Suite proficiency
- Working knowledge of ITIL practices, ITIL Foundation Certification preferred
